PARENT TOOLKIT (8MBs – PDF)
EDUCATORS TOOLKIT (8MBs – PDF)
As part of ONECA’s ongoing cannabis and vaping education project, we have developed toolkits for Parents and Educators. These have been mailed out to schools across Ontario. We would like to meet with Educators from each district for a quick explanation of the material and an overview of how these resources can be implemented into your school’s curriculums.
This tool kit was designed to provide culturally appropriate resources and training related to recreational cannabis use and vaping. It is our hope that with the support of the resources, parents will become informed about the different forms of cannabis, and to be able to have a comfortable conversation with their children and use some of the culturally appropriate harm reduction techniques to support your child.
ONECA will be organizing facilitated sessions for parents and if you are interested in participating in the online zoom session please email: firstname.lastname@example.org . We would appreciate your feedback so please take a few minutes to complete the attached evaluation to help us improve the materials.
Everyone who provides feedback and completes the evaluation will be entered into a draw for prizes. Evaluation form:
We are currently working with ONECA to make resources for parents and educators on the effects of recreational cannabis use, and to show culturally appropriate alternatives for the youth. We are hoping to get lots of participation from the community. In our current phase, we are looking for seven youth with all levels of experience with cannabis, that are users and non-users to participate in our project. We have attached the application form below. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us via email at email@example.com.
