2006 ONECA Conference

ONECA’s 22nd Annual Conference was a great success with the board members, staff, facilitators, volunteers and many others pulling together to make this conference the best ever. Miigwech to everyone for helping to make a difference in the lives of our people.

Lobby pictures and details

The lobby of the Travelodge Airlane was used for guest registration, board member voting, raffle ticket purchase, vendor booths and general gathering area.

The raffle table had all the items available for the raffle draw which the proceeds went to the Colin Wasacase and Four Directions scholarships and the ONECA Essay Contest.

Vendor booths Included Turtle concepts, Anishinabek Educational Institute and Canadore College (not pictured). There were two vendor booths featuring native crafts and jewelry from Mary and Ken (crafts) and Ann and Leonard (jewelry).

The remaining tables were the polling booth and registration table.

The banquet activities included the announcement of the newly voted board members, the awarding of 10 and 20 year ONECA Membership certificates and Counsellor of the Year, prize handouts for the raffle ticket winners, a great dinner and very entertaining entertainment presented by the Thunder Bay Legends
