The 2006 Four Directions scholarship has been awarded to:
Kelly Maracle
Kelly is a recent graduate of Moira Secondary School in Tyendinaga. She has been an active volunteer in her community and enjoys a variety of sports. Kelly has enrolled in the Police Foundations Program at Durham College in Oshawa.
Laura Bruyere
Laura graduated from Fort Frances High School with honours. While at Fort Frances High she was actively involved in the school council and volunteered as a peer tutor. She is presently enrolled at Fanshaw College in London in the Pharmacy Technician Program.
Damian Tomatuk
Damian is a recent graduate of Delores Echum Composite School in Moose Factory Ontario. In his free time Damian enjoys baseball, softball, hockey and was an active volunteer with the Moose Factory Island Fire and Rescue. He is attending Canadore College in North Bay and is enrolled in the Police Foundations Program.
Craig Milliken
Craig is a member of the Chippewas of Kettle & Stony Point First Nation and a graduate in the French immersion program at Catholic Central High School. He is very athletic and enjoys a variety of sports. Craig has been accepted into the University of Windsor where he will be taking a Honours BA in Criminology.
Craig’s Bio:
I graduated high school with honors; I am currently on the Varsity Track and Field Team at the University of Windsor where I run the 300m and 600m. I volunteer 3 hours a week, since school started, to the Walk Safe program for the University.
